WHARTON ESSAY 2: MICHAEL SCOTT SERIES (AI-FUSION)

Updated: Oct 30

ESSAY PROMPT

Essay 2: Taking into consideration your background – personal, professional, and/or academic – how do you plan to make specific, meaningful contributions to the Wharton community?

UNDERSTANDING THE PROMPT

While the Essay prompt is pretty straightforward, there are a couple of things to understand here but first, understand what your goal is and what resources pertain to those goals. Upon looking at those resources, bring others into the picture and understand how you will support them and co-create an experience where you win together. It has to be specific to what events you want to be a part of and how would you meaningfully bring your past experiences to help everyone. Again, it is less about quantity, more about quality and scope. Limit yourself to things you really want to be doing while at Wharton. For this essay, we used generative AI and coded it with the previous essays of Michael scott and asked it to follow the MBA Conquerors instructions as we would do for a client and this is what we got! (Creator's commentary may be made available for this one describing the same)

P.S. If this is the first article you are reading, it would help to go through the profile and resume of Michael Scott to understand how the scene has been set.

ESSAY RESPONSE

As the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton, I have cultivated a unique leadership style that combines humor, resilience, and creativity. At Wharton, I plan to leverage my experiences and contribute meaningfully by engaging with the Venture Lab and the Entrepreneurship Club.

At the Venture Lab, I will focus on my goal of starting a company in the paper industry with a tech component while supporting my peers into achieving their goals. By participating in the Penn Wharton Innovation Fund, I will collaborate with peers to refine project pitches and business strategies, ensuring that innovative ideas are nurtured and developed effectively. This initiative is crucial as it aims to modernize the traditional paper industry, integrating technology to improve sustainability and efficiency. The impact of this venture can be significant, providing eco-friendly solutions and creating new job opportunities. By sharing my insights and experiences from Michael Scott Paper Company, I can help fellow students pursue their entrepreneurial goals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration at Wharton.

Within the Entrepreneurship Club, I will help organize events focused on creative problem-solving and innovative thinking. I envision leading “Dunder Mifflin-style” brainstorming sessions where students can pitch their ideas in a fun, supportive environment. By working with club members to host guest speakers from various industries, we can provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs. This collaboration will not only enhance our entrepreneurial skills but also build a strong support network, helping everyone involved to pursue their goals more effectively.

Having lived and worked in Scranton, Pennsylvania, I have a deep personal connection to the state. I am excited to introduce my classmates to the unique culture and charm of Pennsylvania. From organizing trips to local landmarks like the Steamtown National Historic Site to hosting Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine nights, I will ensure that my peers experience the rich heritage of the region. By creating these shared experiences, I aim to build a sense of community and belonging, making Wharton not just a place of learning but also a home away from home.

In conclusion, my background has shaped me into a well-rounded individual with a unique perspective. I am eager to bring my humor, leadership, and passion for learning to Wharton, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic community.
