DISCLAIMER- We have decided to use this profile from a beloved TV show to only demonstrate how an application of someone looking for an MBA looks like in a fun and light hearted way. We don't own the rights to the TV show but under fair use, only using the publicly available information in a speculative way to see what MBA Conquerors would have done had someone like him reached out to us. We have no ill intentions towards anyone and every discussion moving forward with this article being the first, is only to encourage a light hearted humor while looking at the MBA process. This is merely a roleplay way of helping people understand the MBA applications process.

While we cannot disclose our clients personal details to help people create their own applications, we can surely look at some public fictional figures and speculate and show how you can do your MBA Applications yourself. This, in conjunction with our DIY Blogs, is going to help many prospects understand how to apply the principles we teach in DIY blogs in a slightly fun manner. A little sense of humor with an objective to help more people who have no one to help with their applications.

Let's assume, for the purpose of understanding, a candidate, who is applying to the MBA program- Michael Scott. Just like anyone else, Michael could have an aspiration for an MBA so let's make some assumptions for Michael's profile.

Profile-
GMAT Score: 725,
GPA: 3.7 (Major- Sales)
Undergraduate degree from a private school in PA, USA
Sexual Orientation- Straight
Gender- Male
Ethnicity- White, American
Age: 45
Industry- Office Supply

Leadership experience and direct reports-
3 direct reports in accounting, 1 direct report in customer support, 2 in quality assurance, 6 in sales, 1 temp, 1 receptionist (consistent); a couple keep changing over the years.
Michael works with one liaison from the corporate who works in Human resources and has had strong relationship with the human resources representative before him as has been noted by the workers in the office.
Michael's leadership has been the reason why their branch in Scranton has been the most successful branch of Dunder-Mifflin Inc. competing with the sales of large office supply giants in the area. Michael has been chosen by his supervisor David Wallace, CFO of the company to lead multiple site tours to different branches to help them grow as their branch did. Michael's previous supervisor- VP of North East Sales- has shown to promote Michael at many unofficial company events and socials and has paid multiple visits to events promoted by Michael in the Scranton branch by attending those personally to show solidarity with Michael's leadership prowess.

Extra curriculars-
Michael has a strong emphasis on improving the work culture and constantly goes against the status quo to organize multiple events from promoting the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the office to raising awareness about diseases to fundraisers to promote security in the neighbourhood to even career fairs to recruit only the best and the brightest.

NOTE- List of extracurriculars of Michael is too big to fit on a resume and may not do his philanthropic cause the justice but it is safe to assume that Michael has been very proactive in the community. You will see that when we release Michael Scott's resume soon.

Entrepreneurial Experience-
Upon being replaced by the new VP of North East sales- Charles Minor, who took over as the interim Regional Manager, Michael's strong leadership attracted two former employees to join him in his pursuit of launching - Michael Scott Paper Company that ended up making its mark so deep on his previous company that they offered to buy out Michael Scott Paper company along with the employees, giving Michael his position back in the branch as the regional manager.

Mergers & Acquisitions Experience-
Michael has witnessed and executed two major post-merger integrations under his 7 years of leadership at Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch.
Experience 1 - Upon Merger with the Stamford branch, Michael became the sole mentor to facilitate a warm integration by creating an inclusive place for all the members from Stamford Branch- one of whom was a convicted felon for showing support to whom Michael organized an awareness mixer to help facilitate an open communication culture in the branch. Under Michael's leadership, Michael was able to serve as a mentor for Karen Filippelli, who later rose to become a regional manager of Utica branch, and for Andrew Bernard, a former Cornell graduate, who Michael ended up entrusting the responsibility of all his clients to before taking the next step with the MBA.
Experience 2 - Before the acquisition of Dunder-Mifflin Inc. with Sabre International Inc.- a printer manufacturer, Michael was entrusted by the board of Dunder-Mifflin Inc. to make a public appearance to show the stakeholders the power of their most profitable branch and Michael took the crowd by the storm with an overwhelming response and support cheering Michael's ideas. Upon acquisition with Sabre, Michael gained the trust of Jo Bennett to become the sole Regional Manager. With the new arrangements in the office, Michael showed his leadership by using his post-merger integration experience with the other branches with the same amount of enthusiasm to welcome the employees.

Passion and Purpose-
Michael's one true passion has been to revolutionize the paper industry and holds a great amount of knowledge and differentiation about the paper quality at Dunder-Mifflin. His experience leading the branch made him somewhat of a man who knew his industry inside out. Even during his presentations in local Business schools that he was invited as a speaker, he was noted to have a strong passion about paper industry and how important it is for the future of the business in America. Additionally, during a client acquisition, his former supervisor, Jan Levinson has been known to note his passion towards paper industry when he established a strong relationship with the client and told him what happens when larger corporations establish monopoly in the markets and raise the prices of paper while degrading the quality of supplies. Michael found his purpose in paper industry and his passion in making a work culture where people can treat each other like family and have fun while working so that they can take pride in the work place they worked for. Michael was known to take feedback very seriously when it came to making the workplace more welcome to all his employees and took many steps to prove that it is important to him that people who work under his leadership feel heard and welcome in an inclusive workplace.

MBA-
Upon leaving Scranton with Holly Scott, Michael's wife, to Boulder Colorado, Michael saw an opportunity to use his passion for paper in a way that can revolutionize traditional paper industry. Michael decided to embark on his second entrepreneurial journey after having gained many skills from his former experience in Sales, Management and Entrepreneurship. With these transferrable skills, Michael wants to establish a brand that will integrate his passion for paper with the new digital age. Given some of his prior gaps in experiences with formal business knowledge of multiple disciplines to start a business, Michael decided that he wants an MBA. With age being a concern for full-time MBA programs, Michael Scott wants to consider one-year MBA options, EMBA and part-time MBA so he can focus on his family too. He also wants to apply to some full time MBA programs to see how things proceed.

Target Schools-

Michael saw the daredevil attitude of MBA Conquerors and applied for the M7 or refund challenge, raising the following questions-

Will Michael make it into an M7?
How will Michael research on these schools? What info will he get?
What will his story look like in the Essays?

What will Michael's Entrepreneurial venture look like?
Will Michael be able to articulate his goals?
What will the next few weeks unfold with Round 2 deadlines just a couple of months away and 7 schools to apply to?
