Parts of the profile created using a "what if" approach and AI!

DISCLAIMER- We have decided to use this profile from a beloved TV show to only demonstrate how an application of someone looking for an MBA looks like in a fun and light hearted way. We don't own the rights to the TV show but under fair use, only using the publicly available information in a speculative way to see what MBA Conquerors would have done had someone like him reached out to us. We have no ill intentions towards anyone and every discussion moving forward with this article being the first, is only to encourage a light hearted humor while looking at the MBA process. This is merely a roleplay way of helping people understand the MBA applications process.

"What if" scenario!

The TV Show ended with Ben getting an admit to Columbia University for the Bachelor's program and throughout the show, Ben showed some inclination to be in Law and some interest in Political Science. So we have chosen to build on it. We are aware of the AILE program at Columbia but decided to assume that he is pursuing both Law and Political Science. Additionally, we have assumed situations where Ben could have excelled at Columbia by letting AI assume things where appropriate- from club engagement to extracurriculars to internships.

This is what we have to describe Ben-

Ben Gross is a dynamic and driven individual with a passion for law and political science. Currently pursuing his BA at Columbia University, Ben has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, maintaining a stellar GPA of 3.9/4.0 and earning a spot on the Dean's List for three consecutive years. His academic journey has been enriched by study abroad experiences in Germany, France, and the UK, where he honed his language skills and broadened his global perspective.

As the President of the Columbia University Student Council, Ben has showcased his exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities. Under his guidance, the council successfully raised $50,000 through various fundraising events, attracting 25 new companies to campus. His ability to lead a team of 10 members with a clear vision and effective networking skills has been instrumental in these achievements.

Ben's leadership extends to the Columbia Debate Society, where he has served as President since May 2022. His tenure has been marked by significant success, including leading his team to victory at the National Debate Championship in May 2023. Through his coaching and mentorship, Ben has improved the year-over-year competition success rate, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and team development.

In addition to his leadership roles, Ben has gained valuable professional experience through internships at prestigious law firms. At Richards and Wheeler in Los Angeles, he enhanced client relations by coordinating multiple consultations and preparing legal briefs for entertainment law cases. His internship at Litt Wheeler Williams Bennett in New York further developed his skills in project management and negotiation, as he supported senior attorneys in high-profile client meetings.

Ben's extracurricular activities reflect his diverse interests and talents. As a participant in Model United Nations during high school, he won Best Delegate awards at Harvard and Yale MUN conferences, showcasing his diplomacy and public speaking skills. At Columbia, he engages a readership of over 5,000 students as an opinion columnist for the Columbia Daily Spectator, writing insightful pieces on current political and social issues.

Fluent in Spanish and French, Ben is well-prepared for a global career. He is now looking to pursue a full-time MBA program to immerse himself in a rigorous learning environment and expand his professional network. Ben aims to transition into a leadership role in a top-tier law firm or political organization, focusing on strategic management and policy development. He is also keen on exploring opportunities in international law and diplomacy, leveraging his diverse experiences and skills to make a meaningful impact. Not to forget- Ben is such a giving person!

Additionally, since this is an application for deferred MBA, most of the elements of professional work experience would be missing! So! What will the resume look like? We'll have a look at that too!

Why MBA?

Ben has decided to move back to the West Coast and decided to find programs that can help him become a successful entertainment lawyer and establish a law firm by leveraging his father's prior exposure and network to the industry. He wants to go for a deferred MBA because he wants to try an entrepreneurial path to establish the Business after his undergrad. Ben was not particularly enjoying the internships even though those were great companies. He was not getting the thrill and challenge he needs. So, Ben decided to get a GMAT Score over the fall semester.

Which Schools?

Ben has kept his choices open for now and has decided to move forward with as many schools as he can. So, he chose MBA Conquerors Prime Service- the one service to rule them all, allowing him to apply to any number of schools he wants for the year. But, Ben has kept his eyes firmly on Harvard and Stanford.
